AT THE DESK

Your first contact with Kew Baptist Church may be at a church service, or through a phone call, email or visit to the church office which is located at the back of the church building. Grace Munro could well be one of the first people you contact, as she not only works in the church office during the week, but also attends church services regularly and does her best to welcome newcomers.

Grace has worked in the church office since early in 2008, but prior to that was the honorary secretary for Kew Baptist Church from late 1993 to September 2008, and participated in the leadership team of the church in a variety of ways.

Until 2008, Grace worked full-time with Global Interaction, the mission arm of Australian Baptist churches. From 1973 to 1990, she was involved in a wide variety of ministries in Zambia – nursing, Bible teaching, administration and linguistic work. On her return to Australia, she joined the team at the head office of Global Interaction, taking responsibility for the production and distribution of the organisation’s magazines, brochures and other literature.

In her present role as Office Administrator at Kew Baptist Church, Grace is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office, hiring out the property for events, doing the financial bookwork under the guidance of the honorary Treasurer, and generally keeping the wheels turning.
