POSSUMS PLAYGROUPS AND KINDERGARTEN

Possums Playgroups and Kindergarten is a ministry of Kew Baptist Church, and operates in well-equipped rooms in the church hall and a playground.

• Possums has Playgroup sessions Monday to Thursday for young children with their parents or carers.
• There are also three-year-old Kinder sessions.

More than 100 children and their families are associated with Kew Baptist Church through Possums. All sessions are run by a trained and experienced pre-school teacher, Miriam Schmidt, with parents providing rostered help during the sessions. Families are also involved in fundraising activities.

Several members of the congregation regularly participate in Possums, helping where they are able during sessions, enjoying friendships with the parents or carers, and offering support to families at times of crisis.
