POSSUMS PLAYGROUP & KINDERGARTEN

Miriam Schmidt

Miriam is a trained pre-school teacher, and has run our Possums Playgroups and Kindergarten for many years. With three children of her own (all now adult), she can relate well to the issues that arise in bringing up young children and the pressures which parents experience.

Miriam’s family has been associated with Kew Baptist Church since its establishment, and she and her husband Louis were members here for many years. When their children reached teen years, the family moved to Balwyn North Baptist, which is close to their home, but Miriam continued to coordinate the Possums’ program. Her love of children and her commitment to seeing them grow up in a healthy, life-enhancing, faith-affirming environment are obvious in all she does.
